Barking and Dagenham Police have been giving the 540 school children a lesson in personal safety and citizenship this week.
Pupils aged 10 and 11 are taking part in role play scenarios and interactive discussion groups covering topics.
These include stranger danger, fire safety, first aid, Internet awareness, travel safety and the consequences being involved with gangs and knife crime.
Sergeant Rob Bell who organised the scheme said: “This project engaged a large number of children and enabled them to learn valuable life skills and strategies to improve their own safety and wellbeing. I am confident that everyone took something away with them from this worthwhile project.”
