Elutec

Pupils from Elutec have secured apprenticeships with a number of prestigious organisations following their A-level and BTEC results.

Five teenagers from the Rainham Road, Dagenham college will be joining the Royal Navy’s university technical college (UTC) apprenticeship programme, while others will be heading to BMW, BAR and the National Physics Laboratory.

Others will be heading down the academic route, studying subjects including astrophysics, aeronatical engineering and architecture.

Principal Ruth Umerah said: “Students come to Elutec to start their careers and their destinations are as important to us as their qualifications.

“The links we have established with industry present our students with fantastic opportunities.

“I am extremely proud of their achievements.”

The college, which opened in 2014, saw a 96 per cent pass rate across A-levels and BTECs.
