Edward Dovey is off to study drama at St Mary's University

Pupils at Sydney Russell School were today celebrating their A-level results, with many securing places at top universities.

Edward Dovey is off to pursue his dream career in acting at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, after getting A*BB in drama, English literature and history.

“I’m the first person to go to university in my immediate family and I’m so happy with my grades.

“The school were really fantastic - they helped loads with university admissions and I think the teaching was really good as well.

“I’m sad to be leaving but I’m really excited for the next step.”

Redina Binzare, who is going to study psychology at Nottingham University after getting AAB in English literature, German and psychology, said: “I can’t believe the grades I’ve got - I’m just so happy. I’m really excited to get on with my course and move somewhere new.”
