Tower Hamlets College sending students to Cambridge and Canary Wharf

A-level students topped 92 per cent passing their A-levels at Poplar’s Tower Hamlets College in today’s results and are now heading for top universities.
They managed an incredible 100 per cent pass in 15 subjects including business, computing, economics, English literature, English language, government & politics, Italian, Spanish and sociology.
The college had 28 per cent passing at A*, A or B—bucking the national downward trend.
“Many students can now look forward to pursuing studies at top universities,” Principal Gerry McDonald said. “We have continued to increase our A-Level high grades.”
One of those is 18-year-old Fela Maslen, from London Fields, with his three A* grades in maths, further maths and physics and an A in biology. He has offers to study mathematics at Cambridge or Bristol universities.
Brandon Ryan-Rahmani, from Bow, got two A*s in accounting and business studies and an A in economics. He is has an internship with Ernst & Young international professional services company in Canary Wharf.
Katie Hogg, from the Isle of Dogs, landed an A* in sociology and an A in English language & literature. She is off to Royal Holloway Uni to study psychology.
“I was ‘over the moon that I got my first choice,” she said.
Tanvir Ahmed, from Poplar, gained an A* in maths, an A in further mathematics and a B in physics, ready to study mechanical engineering at University College London.
