Students from Eastbrook School in Dagenham recorded a pass rate of 98 per cent in their A-levels.
The A*-C rate at the Dagenham Road school was 70 per cent.
Head of sixth form, Dawn Hawkins, praised the students and teachers for the achievement.
She said: “It has been an improvement from last year. They were a very close year group who have worked their way through the school and were very much a close community.
“We also have some outstanding teachers. In general our staff are highly qualified and the students have been able to benefit from their expertise.”
