A violent thug who stabbed a man in a supermarket car park in broad daylight is still on the run more than four months later.

Police have appealed for information about the attack in the car park of Tesco, Highbridge Road, Barking, where a 26-year-old man from Walthamstow was stabbed on February 25 at 2.30pm.

The victim was taken to Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel. At first his injuries were thought to be life- threatening but he is now fully recovered.

The attacker is decribed as an Asian man with a shaven head, who was driving a silver Ford Focus. He is about 5ft 10ins tall, of stocky/muscular build, and he was wearing green trousers and a white T-shirt or vest.

A police spokesman said: “Due to the violent nature of this attack, police would like to speak to anyone who either witnessed this incident or thinks they may know the identity of the suspect.” Contact Det Sgt Shane Donnelly on 020 8217 5544.
