Barking and Dagenham College students were given an insight into banking when they attended a talk with a Metro Bank chief.
During the presentation and workshop, led by local director at Metro, Lee Summers, the IT and business students learnt all about how the bank works, the future expectations for the industry and what the company looks for in an employee.
Business administration tutor Siobhan Berry said: “I thought the Metro Bank presentation was inspirational, informative and extremely well thought out.
“After the event the engagement between Metro Bank staff and the students was fantastic and it has inspired many of the students to look further into working in banking.”
Metro Bank’s visit is part of a continuing partnership between the college and the bank.
