For some, working from home means the perfect time to put the kettle on and put your feet up.

But not Barking and Dagenham College graduate Jess Richardson, who is making a splash in her dream job — without stepping out of her house.

After leaving the Dagenham Road, Dagenham college in 2014 the 28-year-old worked as a freelance animator before securing her first full-time job for Sassy Films, based in Hertfordshire.

This year she started her current role doing animation, after effects and video editing for Clarity Comms, who specialise in educational animations.

She’s able to work from home: a major perk considering the crushing commutes to central London.

Looking back on her time in college, she remembered the “amazing” trips she and her classmates took to animation studios across Europe.

“I went to Prague, Berlin and Amsterdam and I absolutely loved it”, she said.

“It was really great experience for me and my career is going well too.”
