Barking and Dagenham College has been shortlisted for three national awards.

The Rush Green college is in the running in the support for learners, contribution to the local community and professional services team of the year categories in the Times Education Supplement Further Education Awards.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Grovesnor House hotel in London’s Park Lane on February 24.

Apprenticeships and skills minister Robert Halfon, who will attend the event, said: “Further education is one of the most important tools we have to give millions of people the education, skills and jobs for the future.”
