Youngsters made ghoulish creations while creepy crawlies paid a spine-tingling visit as the borough celebrated Hallowe’en.
Thirty Barking and Dagenham College students, studying Level 2 and 3 NVQ hairdressing and Level 2 media and make-up, devised spooky looks for models based on the theme The Darker Side Of Fame.
The idea was to make their model look like a well known celebrity or famous character but inject a Hallowe’en twist.
Meanwhile, Valence House Museum hosted a day of freakish fun on Saturday, reading chilling tales, running craft sessions and introducing guests to a snake and a tarantula.
On Monday children at Barking Learning Centre in Barking Town Square made a host of scary crafts, while youngsters at Valence Library, in Becontree Avenue, Dagenham, painted t-shirts with gruesome ghouls and other scary creatures.
