Around 60 fashion, performing arts and animation college students are putting together a creative show in aid of charity.

The young people, from Barking and Dagenham College, hope to raise money and awareness of Restless Beings, an organisation which supports marginalised communities deprived of public attention by promoting their causes via the arts.

They will create a showcase featuring animation, a fashion catwalk show, drama and dance, which will be performed at the Broadway Theatre in Barking on February 12.

Fashion student Olivia Till said: “I’ve really enjoyed working on this project. It’s made me realise how lucky we are compared to others in the world and we’re all loving the opportunity to make garments that raise awareness of the charity’s projects.”

Tickets are available from the college and cost £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. All proceeds from ticket sales and any additional funds raised on the night will go to Restless Beings.
