Talented youngsters from Barking Abbey School are representing the borough at a major dance event on the South Bank next week.
The school will be taking part in the Step Live! 2012 dance extravaganza at the Southbank Centre show on July 7, where pupils from dozens of London schools will show off their skills.
Sue Goodman, Step into Dance artistic director, said: “Congratulations to the dancers from Barking Abbey School. Their work was a delight. They deserve the opportunity to perform in Step Live! 2012, at the prestigious Southbank Centre, London.”
The event, part of the Festival of the World and Big Dance 2012, will include contemporary dance, hip-hop, African, musical theatre and cheerleading. . The free event runs from 11am to 5pm.
