Warren Junior School, was judged “outstanding” by Ofsted inspectors in all five assessment categories under the new framework.
Inspectors praised pupils “excellent” progress in the development of speaking, reading and writing skills and credited the school’s “strong” leadership over many years.
Headteacher Gary Wilder said: “As a school we are very pleased with the outcome of the inspection, moreover, it is also a success for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.”
Councillor John White, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “To have achieved an outstanding judgement under the new framework is an honour for which the whole school and the community can be rightfully proud. Well done to all concerned”.
Inspectors visited the school in Gordon Road, Chadwell Heath, in November last year and the results were released late last month.
