Dagenham church gears up for lively Easter celebrations

A church leader said he hoped family services would make Easter accessible to all this weekend.

About 150 parishioners are set to attend 10.30am services on Good Friday and Easter Sunday at Dagenham Parish Church in Crown Street.

Rev Reith, 57, said: “We are aiming at the seven-year-olds so that pretty much everybody can come. We’ve got to make it interesting to people who have never stepped into a church all their lives.”

The church will re-enact the Last Supper with a 6.30pm Passover meal tomorrow.
