Pupils at Dorothy Barley Junior School took a step back in time and brought their lessons about the Victorians to life.
The year five children spent the school day on Friday pretending it was the days of Queen Victoria’s reign.
They dressed up in the clothing of the day and were given new names and then divided into strictly same-sex classes.
As well as singing Victorian hymns and playing games, they had a taste of what life was like for children from the ‘seen but not heard’ generation... and they were most likely quite happy to return to 2013.
