Pupils transformed into some of Oliver Twist’s most famous characters as they took part in a drama workshop at Dagenham Library.
The workshop for Godwin Primary School pupils saw Sam Quinn from the Fresh Water Theatre company encourage the youngsters to take on the role of Oliver, Fagin and other characters from the famous Charles Dickens novel.
Sam also put on a short one-man production of the story for the children and talked about the book.
Karen Takacs, a teacher at Godwin Primary, in Finnymore Road, Dagenham, said: “The children absolutely loved it. We hope to organise a similar workshop for some of the other pupils in the future.”
