A school knitting club made lots of draught excluders to help keep elderly people warm this winter.
The youngsters at Monteagle Primary in Burnham Road, Dagenham knitted the colourful items for the Barking and Dagenham Volunteer Bureau, who will distribute them to pensioners.
Lynne Hopkins from the bureau said: “We’re very grateful to the children. The draught excluders will come in very handy when winter arrives.”
