Receiving your A-level or GCSE results and not sure what to do next?

Youngsters can take advantage of free drop-in advice sessions about taking the next steps.

The 14 to 19 Careers Advice Service at Barking Job Shop in the Barking Learning Centre is providing additional support for those who need advice.

There’s no need to book in advance, simply turn up to get the help that you need.

The dates are as follows: n August 18, 12.30-4pm n August 19, 9.30am-4pm n August 22, 9.30am-4pm n August 25, 12.30-4pm n August 26, 9.30am-4pm n August 30, 9.30am-4pm

Cllr Evelyn Carpenter, cabinet member for educational attainment and school improvement, said: “Picking up results can be nerve-racking for many young people but it’s important to remember that you still have options, no matter what grades you receive.

“I urge all young people uncertain of their next steps to pop in to one of the advice sessions.”
