Warren School pupils were today praised for their “great” GCSE results.

“This year is particularly pleasing as many students sat nearly 30 exams under the new GCSE guidelines,” read a statement from the Whalebone Lane North, Dagenham school.

“Their success is testament to their hard work and dedication, their resilience under extreme pressure and the amazing support they had from parents and staff.”

According to the school, star pupil “Ani” achieved five 9s — the highest mark available — in religious studies, mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics, as well as three 8s and two A*s.

“I’m extremely happy with my results — I can’t believe all my hard work has paid off, and I would like to thank my teachers for helping me,” she said.

Headteacher Richard Micek added: “The Loxford Trust [who runs the school] is grateful to all staff, students and parents for their hard work for another set of great results.”
