Students at Barking Abbey have broken the school record in their GCSE results.

A total of 73 per cent of teenagers who sat the exams earlier this summer achieved five or more A*-C grades including maths and English.

Head of Year 11 Anthony Moloney said: “We have broken every record at the school in every department.

“It is down to the hard work and dedication of the staff and students used every opportunity with revision classes at the school and they had great parental support.”
