Students at Sydney Russell school took a major leap forward with today’s GCSE results.
A total of 97 per cent achieved five or more A*-C compared to 91 per cent last year.
The percentage of students achieving five or more A*-C with English and maths was 59.
Fifty-four per cent of pupils achieved A*s and As.
Headteacher Roger Leighton said: “We are very pleased, it makes a huge leap from the previous year and we have to hold on to this.”
