Young authors have launched a book designed to help children during the transition from primary to secondary school.
Life @ School was dreamt up by Brighter Steppings, a social enterprise that earlier this month took home a gong at the Barking and Dagenham Business Awards.
They have worked with a group of 10 to 16-year-olds on developing the book.
Director Seun Oshinaike said: “All the young authors have learned a tremendous amount of research skills and, most importantly, developed a phenomenal increase in their self-confidence and team work.”
The book costs £4.99 and is available from brightersteppings.co.uk, with proceeds split between the authors (30%), Dagenham Library (5%) and the rest reinvested into the social enterprise.
