When it comes to learning how to make desserts, you could do a lot worse than getting a Nestle chef in.
The food service side of the confectionary business sent their professional development chef, Stephen Oram, over to Barking and Dagenham College recently.
He gave cookery students a talk on products used in a professional kitchen and then put on a series of master classes to create tasty dishes, from shellfish bisque to mushroom risotto, chocolate brownies to raspberry and white chocolate panacotta.
Stephen Oram commented: “We came to Barking & Dagenham College to enhance and develop the skills of our future chefs, as well as show them how we work in industry. The students were a real delight to teach, they were incredibly professional and eager to learn and I’m sure they have big futures ahead of them.”
