London Assembly member John Biggs called on the older generation to help students get a fair deal as he took part in an insightful college podcast.
The Labour politician also revealed he loved his job but worked too hard and ended up chopping wood to relax when he took part in the candid interview with students from Barking and Dagenham College in Dagenham Road on January 24.
Mr Biggs, 57, said: “My advice to young people is to study hard, as it’s a tough world out there.
“Young people don’t get a particularly good deal at present and I believe it’s up to the older generation to help by investing in their future.”
The podcast can be heard on the ecampus page of the college website at barkingdagenhamcollege.ac.uk.
