Primary school pupils in Dagenham took a step back in time to learn more about how the Tudors lived.
Dorothy Barley Junior School, in Ivinghoe Road, was visited by Peter Balamck from Living History, a workshop based in Kent. The workshop visits schools around the country to help pupils understand more about history.
It gave the children the chance to find out more about the Tudors and how they lived. The pupils were also able to dress up, explore artefacts, make Tudor money and try out typical Tudor toys.
Jane Tripp, year group leader, said: “The pupils really enjoyed the day. It has been brilliant to see the children engaged in their learning and so enthusiastic about finding out more about life in Tudor times.”
