The Mayor of Barking and Dagenham took on some schoolchildren at tug of war.
Cllr Milton McKenzie attended the 10th annual sports day for Rush Green Primary School at Barking and Dagenham College.
The children also enjoyed basketball, football and the ‘late for school race’ at the event last Thursday.
It was organised by a team of learners at Barking and Dagenham College who are in their first and second years of studying for a BTEC National Diploma in Sport.
Organiser Carey Eastwood said: “The day was really enjoyable and it went really well.
“Even though the rain came down, everyone carried on and had a really good time.”
