Barking and Dagenham College students visited web giant Amazon’s UK headquarters to help a nationwide charity project.
A total of 60 students from four digital Career Colleges, including the Dagenham Road, Dagenham college, were tasked with engaging young people aged 16 to 24 with Comic Relief.
About 800 students were involved in the first stage of the project, which is run by Careers Colleges Trust in partnership with Amazon Web Services and Comic Relief.
Now whittled down to just 15 groups of five, the students heard talks on online marketing and social media.
“We know how talented and creative the students are and we can’t wait to see what innovative ideas they develop to support Comic Relief,” said Chris Hayman of Amazon Web Services.
Student Haritika Priya Changer-Bhardwaj, 18, said the visit was “inspiring” and gave her “ideas about possible jobs available”.
