Pupils from William Bellamy Junior School test out two new play areas at Central Park, Dagenham.
The areas provide new play equipment as part of the Playbuilder scheme, which aims to transform play areas in the borough into to high quality play sites.
These new sites allow parents to encourage children to play independently in a safe ‘natural play’ environment.
The students from the school on Fritzlands Lane, Dagenham tried out the basket swing, climbing net, zip frame, roundabout and more on July 21.
Cllr Rocky Gill, cabinet member for education and children, said: “The Playbuilder scheme has been successful in many parks across the borough and the new areas have provided new play opportunities for our children and young people.”
