The historic building in Becontree Avenue, Dagenham, held the themed event on Saturday as part of a week of Edwardian activities.

Among the highlights of the day was a chance to sample food from the era and performances from The Golden Girls, who sang music hall favourites.

Tomorrow Valence House will run a free craft and story event for children called An Edwardian Childhood.

It starts at 2pm. For more information on the event call 020 8227 2034.
