An elderly man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a van on Wood Lane this afternoon.
The man, believed to be in his 80s, was involved in an incident with a transit van at the junction with Verney Road in Dagenham at around noon.
His condition is currently unknown.
The driver of the van stopped at the scene and no arrests were made.
Buses in the area are being diverted and road closures remain in place.
