The Barking and Dagenham candidates for the general election have been announced.
Both Margaret Hodge and Jon Cruddas will be running to retain their respective seats, with six would-be MPs running in the Barking constituency, and seven in Dagenham and Rainham:
Barking:
Margaret Hodge – Labour
Minesh Talati – Conservative
Pauline Pierce – Liberal Democrat
Roger Gravett – Ukip
Shannon Butterfield – Green Party
Noel Falvey – Independent
Dagenham and Rainham:
Jon Cruddas – Labour
Julie Marson – Conservative
Jonathan Fryer – Liberal Democrat
Peter Harris – Ukip
Denis Breading – Green Party
Paul Sturdy – British National Party
Terence London – Concordia
The election will be held on Thursday, June 8, and if you have not registered to vote, you have until Monday, May 22 to do so.

If you cannot make it to the polls on election day, you can also vote by post. The form can be found at: .gov.uk/government/publications/apply-for-a-postal-vote
