The Salvation Army’s Barking branch needs your pictures for their annual photo competition.

Next month marks the 10th free photo exhibition held at the Barking Corps base in Ripple Road.

The event, which runs from 2pm until 6pm on September 22, gives visitors the chance to vote on their favourite photos across different categories.

The best images from each category will be awarded a prize, announced at the end of the exhibition.

Categories range from the theme of ‘food’ to land- and seascapes, phone photos, people and portraits. A special People’s Choice prize will also be up for grabs for the most popular work.

Submissions should be sent with a completed entry form between September 9-16 to Richard Ambridge, 195 Salisbury Avenue, Barking, IG11 9XT.

Send phone photos to 07841 652595 or email

For an entry form, call Richard Ambridge on 02085 943158 or email
