The children were evacuated from Erkenwald School, Marlborough Road, Dagenham, to Tunley, near Bath, during World War Two.
The picture was one of three sent to us by Doris Lock who, as Doris Speller, is in all three photographs. She now lives in Lowestoft, Suffolk, but very kindly sent us them thinking they would bring back a few memories for our readers.
This picture was taken during the evacuees' first Christmas at Tunley.
