NINE-MAN Bari FC ended Essex Minors unbeaten run which had stretched back to more than a year ago.

The visitors took the lead through Ikram Adam and laid siege upon the home side's goal, but were unable to add to their tally before the half-time whistle.

Adam grabbed a superb second after the interval, but they were pegged back when the Minors scored straight from the kick off.

It was a nervy final 10 minutes for the away side, with Kaksy and Mo Kidia seeing red for dissent.

Harry Markstone picked up the man of the match award.

Newham United 5 Lonsdale 2

NEWHAM UNITED progressed to the semi-finals of the Trophyland Cup with a confident 5-2 victory over Division One side Lonsdale.

Four goals from Danny Child and one from Charlie Kerr were enough to see them through despite Lonsdale equalising twice in the second half.

Newham led 1-0 at half time thanks to Child, but the home side were pegged back by Lonsdale as they scored a penalty early in the second period.

Child was able to restore Newham's lead shortly afterwards, before Lonsdale equalised again.

However, there was no coming back for the visitors once Child scored twice more to take his season's tally to 27 goals.

Good work by Jermaine Stewart led to Kerr rounding off the win late on.

Newham United: Polley, Millar, Clarke, Koroma, Hoddy, McGuinness, Nott, Clarke, Kerr, Lewis, Child.
