Sci-fi fans didn’t need a TARDIS to meet their Doctor Who favourites at the Barking Learning Centre on Saturday.

More than 60 fans descended on the Town Quay library to meet and greet popular faces from the BBC show and come away with their autographs.

Big stars from the popular programme including David Bailie, who played Dask in the Doctor Who story The Robots of Death, Nicholas Parsons who played Reverend Wainwright in the Doctor Who serial The Curse of Fenric and Trevor Martin who played a Time Lord in Doctor Who television story The War Games.

Derek Hambly, Tenth Planet events manager, said: “It was a really good day, we had fans turning up having pictures and getting autographs and we had a question and answer session for about an hour.

“We will be back in Barking on the seventh of November with some big names like Gareth Thomas, Ian Hogg, Sharon Duce and Catherine Howe with many more names to be confirmed yet.”
