AN EXCITING clash looks in prospect as unbeaten Vinny Mitchell faces East Ham rival Johnny Greaves on Frank Warren's York Hall, Bethnal Green, show on Friday, October 9.
Ex-West Ham amateur Mitchell, now trained by father and son team Jimmy and Mark Tibbs, took his unbeaten record to 10 fights recently with a win over Daniel Thorpe.
Fight-anywhere Greaves has had four times that number of contests in his pro campaign, testing some of the brightest prospects in boxing.
The show features another promising Tibbs-trained boxer, Olympian Billy Joe Saunders, looking for his fourth straight pro victory.
The Frank Warren bill is topped by the Nathan Cleverly versus Courtney Fry contest, in a British light-heavyweight title clash.
Also billed are the Walsh brothers - Michael, Ryan and Liam, plus light-welterweight crowd-pleaser John 'Wayne' Hibbert and heavyweight Derek Chisora.
