Promising young filmmakers could get their chance to hit the big time through a British Film Institute course.
Sixteen 16 to 19-year-olds will win the opportunity to take part in the Young Film Academy Course – learning everything from writing and directing to sound design and editing.
The academy aims to train and inspire the next generation of filmmakers, helping to turn their dream career into a reality.
Cllr Evelyn Carpenter, cabinet member for education and schools, said: “The BFI is offering a brilliant life changing opportunity.
“If you are a young person with a passion for film and TV, take advantage of this invaluable opportunity to be discovered, developed and funded.”
The Young Film Academy’s course of 10 Saturday sessions will be held from 10am to 5pm at Sydney Russell School in Parsloes Avenue, Dagenham.
