Young dancers took to the streets to perform a tribute to those who lost their lives in the First World War.
The flashmob dance took place outside Barking Town Hall today (Wednesday) and featured 80 young performers.
It was organised by the Dance Network Association and saw pupils from five primary schools take part in the nine minute routine - Becontree, Richard Alibon, Ripple, St Vincent’s and Valence.
Gemma Wright, the association’s director, said: “We wanted to bring people together to remember all those who fought for us 100 years ago and it was truly inspiring to have people come together and share this moment of commemoration and reflection with us.”
The audience included council leader Cllr Darren Rodwell, who told the children: “What you have done is incredible, and I love dance. That is the reason why you got me out here because I love dance and dance is the best way of expression.”
