Kind-hearted footballers have donated their kits to poor children in Zambia.

Dagenham Park Rangers sent out the old kits with the help of the Shine charity, which improves literacy in the impoverished country in southern Africa.

Some of the shirts are to be used as garments and others for a football team.

A club spokesman said: “Dagenham Park Rangers FC are very proud that our kits are being used in such a way and hope to send more in the future.”
