Four-car crash on A13 in Barking causing heavy delays

Drivers face heavy delays on the A13 westbound this morning after a four-car crash in Barking.

Police were called at 7.10am to Ripple Road just after the Lodge Avenue flyover, while ambulance crews treated one of the drivers at the scene.

A silver Mercedes, a Suzuki and a Citroen Berlingo were among the vehicles involved in the collision.

Two lanes were closed off causing congestion as far back as Rainham, but have since reopened.
