FOUR goals from Dannielle Robertson saw West Ham United under-16s start their pre-season programme with an emphatic victory.

The Hammers quickly turned on the style and within 10 minutes opened the scoring when Robertson coolly slotted home, after debutant Zoe Lipley-Hinton had linked well.

A second soon followed as Gemma Abela threaded a through ball to Ella Potter, who fired home. After the interval a one-touch passing move teed-up Lipley-Hinton for her first goal in a Hammers shirt and shortly after, Claire Huggins won possession deep in the Rangers half with Robertson converting.

A fifth followed when Sophie Reed stepped out of the back line and sweptpast the midfield to feed Lipley-Hinton who fired into the top corner.

A moment of individual skill saw the sixth when, from distance, April-Rose Bowers spotted the Rangers keeper off her line and cleverly netted from the free-kick.

Two further clinical finshes from Robertson took the final tally to eight and ensured the Hammers started the season in style.

West Ham: Baker, Mitchell, Trimby, Reed, Kershaw, Keown, Houlihan, Bowers, Abela, Lipley-Hinton, Robertson, Huggins, Potter.

QPR 8 West Ham 1

WEST HAM LADIES under-14s were hit for eight as they were comfortably beaten by QPR in this pre-season friendly.

The Hammers started well and created several good chances to take the lead, but the class of their opponents shone through and they took a four-goal lead heading into the break.

Just like at the start of the first half, the Hammers made a good start to the second and Chelsea Martin pulled a goal back with a dipping shot, which looped over the keeper.

But QPR replied with two more strikes and although West Ham toiled, the west London side scored twice more to seal the win.

West Ham: Hodges, Peverill, Bland, Martin, McLean, Rose, Beard, Townson, Ibrahim Sawyer, Sillitoe. Subs: Gullefer, Hill, Williams.
