FUNDING for four new primary schools and renovations or extensions at six others were laid out before the Executive last Tuesday night.

The plans, part of an 86 million capital programme, were approved along with the council's 2009/10 budget, and will now go before this week's Assembly.

As part of the budget Council tax will be frozen at the same level as last year so there will be no increase in residents' bills.

Expansions, costing between 1.5 million and 4 million will take place at Beam Primary, Cambell Infant and Junior, St Jospeh's and St Peter's.
