FOUR goals from Gemma Abela helped West Ham under-16s complete a thumping victory over Writtle at the weekend in Chelmsford.

Abela opened the scoring early on, before a Dannielle Robertson strike doubled the Hammers' advantage.

Zoe Lipley-Hinton fired a third goal, before April Bowers netted a penalty and then converted another fine strike.

The second period saw the Hammers extend their lead with further strikes from Abela and Liple-Hinton.

Writtle hit a consolation, but Bowers completed her hat-trick and Abela scored twice more to help the team to double figures, before a late Faye Cook strike completed the scoring.

West Ham broke through as early as the second minute, when Chloe Webster found the net before Browne then scored the first of her treble.

Browne scored twice more, before Devlin hit a hat-trick.

Strikes from Shellie Sumpter and Aleah Headley sealed the win, while Kelsey Kiely was named as player of the match.
