A world of music awaits some lucky residents at the upcoming Open East Festival in the Olympic Park.

Barking and Dagenham Council has a limited number of free tickets to give away thanks to it being a host borough of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The festival takes place next weekend (July 27-28) and will mark the anniversary of the Olympics and the re-christening of the park as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Tickets will be available via a raffle and residents can apply for one pair of ticket per household.

To be in with a chance, download an entry form from, complete it and drop it off at any of the borough’s libraries no later than this Sunday (21).

The winners will be notified on Tuesday (23) in a list on the council’s website.

Council leader Cllr Liam Smith, said: “This offer is another opportunity for residents to experience the Olympic Park at what I’m sure will be a very enjoyable event.”
