The funeral of Ian Fisher who was killed in an Afghan suicide attack is being held this morning.
The service for the 42-year-old from Elm Park started at 11am at Lichfield Cathedral, Lichfield.
Mr Fisher, who was a warrant officer class 2 and served with the 3rd Battalion in Helmond, was killed in action on November 5.
He leaves behind a widow Emma and sons James, seven, and William five, as well as his parents Simon and Helen.
In a statement released after his death, Emma said: “Ian will always be the centre of my life. He will be remembered as a dotting father, loving husband and a true professional soldier.”
