THE FUNERAL of brave young Rifleman Martin Kinggett will take place this Tuesday March 23 in Dagenham.
Family and friends would like to invite anyone who wants to pay their respects to the heroic soldier to attend the Catholic Church of the Holy Family in Oxlow Lane.
The service will begin at 1.15pm, conducted by Father Stephen Sharkey, Padre 4 Rifles, Father Hyers and Father Peter Smith, a friend of the family.
Martin will be laid to rest in Eastbrook Cemetery in a private service.
A wake will follow and will be by invitation by the family only.
Martin, of Bennett's Castle Lane, Dagenham, was just 19 when he was killed while providing covering fire for a wounded colleague in Sangin, Helmand, on February 25.
The POST would urge everyone who knew or read about this brave local lad, to pay their respects this Tuesday to a true hero.
