SECURITY gates were put in place to help tackle fly-tipping and antisocial behaviour on the Gascoigne estate.

The environmental improvements team have demolished the old sheds and replaced them with new bin stores for rubbish and recycling.

The work began in St Margaret's last week but the whole estate will eventually get the new security gate treatment.

Remaining sheds will be demolished in the weeks to come and it is hoped this will stop unwanted people using the area for illegal purposes.
