A GANG boarded a bus and stabbed a teenager in the armpit and leg in a violent and unprovoked attack.

The 17-year-old Barking college student was travelling home with classmates when he was knifed by a member of a group of around 15 youths.

He and his friends had changed buses in Ripple Road, near the bottom of the Heathway, and boarded the 173 route towards Beckton last Wednesday evening.

The frenzied attack happened some time around 5pm, according to witnesses a gang of youths followed the victim onto the bus.
