A 26-year-old gardener accused of stabbing a woman in the head will face court at the Old Bailey on Monday.

Barry Peacham, of no fixed abode, is accused of attempting to murder Qingqing Rao, 29, in Castle Green, Dagenham, on February 13, two counts of possessing a bladed article and robbing a woman there two days before. He is yet to plea to the charges.

A 29-year-old woman was also arrested in connection with the stabbing on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery and was bailed to return to a police station this month.
