CASH for ideas to encourage cycling is up for grabs from London transport bosses.

Transport for London is urging cyclists, schools, community groups and charities to apply for a grant of up to £5,000 to be used for events and projects to get more people onto their bikes.

Cycling champions and enthusiasts should apply for their share of the £200,000 annual Community Cycling Fund for London (CCFfL) by April 3 (Friday).

Last year, no Barking and Dagenham groups applied for funding from CCFfL.
